Privacy Policy

Rekndl (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a relationship-management app that helps you stay connected to the people you care about. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Short version: Your contacts data lives on your device. We only sync it to our servers when you enable cloud sync, and we never sell your data to anyone.

Contact data you enter or import

Names, phone numbers, email addresses, birthdays, notes, and relationship labels that you add to Rekndl. This data is stored locally on your device. If you enable cloud sync, an encrypted copy is stored on our secure cloud servers.

Account information

Your email address and name, collected when you sign in with Apple or Google. Used to identify your account and enable sync across devices.

Usage analytics

Anonymised, aggregated data about how features are used (e.g., which screens you visit, how often you log a reconnect). This data cannot identify you individually. You can opt out in app Settings → Privacy.

Subscription and payment data

Payment is processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number. We receive a token, subscription status, and plan name so we can unlock premium features in the app.

Device information

iOS version, device model, app version, and crash logs — used solely for debugging and improving app stability.

• Sync your data across your devices (when cloud sync is enabled)
• Send you reminders you have opted into
• Manage your subscription and process payments
• Respond to support requests
• Understand aggregate usage patterns to improve the product

We do not use your contact data to train AI models, serve advertising, or share with third parties for marketing.

We share data only with service providers in the following categories, solely to operate the app:

• Payment processors — to handle subscription billing and manage your payment method
• Database and hosting providers — to store and sync your data securely
• Analytics providers — to collect anonymised, aggregated usage data
• Authentication providers — to manage sign-in via Apple or Google

We never sell your personal data. We disclose data to law enforcement only when required by a valid legal process.

Your account and contact data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Port your data to another service
• Object to or restrict processing
• Withdraw consent for analytics at any time (Settings → Privacy)

We do not sell personal information. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of any sale (none currently occurs). Contact us at [email protected] to exercise CCPA rights.

Rekndl is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Contact data synced to our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use row-level security so only your account can access your data. Despite these measures, no system is completely secure — use the app at your own risk.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
